Project Description

Location: South Downs National Park – West Sussex
Project: Rural

The Directors of DOWSETTMAYHEW have provided long running planning advice on the reuse of an extensive range of redundant buildings within a rural setting in the South Downs National Park. This included securing planning permission for conversion of buildings to create a winery, processing grapes grown both on the Estate, and on other vineyards within the Southeast.

With the continued expansion and success of both the facility and British sparking wine generally, DOWSETTMAYHEW were instructed to secure planning permission for additional facilities associated with the wine making process. This has included significant additional cold storage facilities.

Working with the Local Planning Authority, including through pre-application discussions, a planning application was prepared and submitted for conversion and extension of further redundant buildings on the site to create an expansion of the winery facility.
