DOWSETTMAYHEW Planning were instructed to promote land on the edge of a settlement which formed part of the Green Belt. DOWSETTMAYHEW Planning liaised with the Town Council, District Council and key stakeholders.
Appropriate representations were submitted at key stages of the emerging Development Plan and DOWSETTMAYHEW Planning Consultants attended the Examination in Public.
Following representations, land was allocated for residential development, as part of the Development Plan. The site is now capable of accommodating around 20 units adjacent to a Listed Building. The Green Belt designation has been deleted and DOWSETTMAYHEW Planning successfully argued that additional housing need was justified outside of the built up area in a district where no greenfield sites were due to be released.
