Project Description
Location: Sussex and Surrey
Project: Commercial
DOWSETTMAYHEW have been instructed by a leading provider of photovoltaic installations to secure planning permission for solar farms within Sussex and Surrey.
DOWSETTMAYHEW are retained to provide initial feasibility advice on the potential of projects and instruct and manage supporting lead consultants, including undertaking detailed Landscape Visual Impact Appraisals.
We undertake and lead on negotiation with the Local Planning Authority and other key stakeholders.
This has culminated in the preparation and submission of a range of planning applications, detailing the planning policy guidelines on the sustainable merits on the provision of photovoltaic installations, as well as clearly and transparently assessing the impacts and benefits of the submitted schemes.
The projects are variously designed to provide power into the National Grid and to offline facilities, in order to significantly reduce the carbon impact of electricity usage within the Southeast. These projects are complex and require extensive supporting information and careful engagement with local stakeholders to ensure schemes have the best prospect of local support and subsequent success.
